What does a SIM cost?
Both the Kastelo eSIM and physical SIM card are 100% free.
If you choose door-to-door delivery, we might charge a small fee depending on your location. But collection from any of our Pargo Instant Click & Collect points at Clicks branches is completely free.
What are the costs for using data and making calls?
GIGS works on one easy balance. You only pay R30 per gig for data and 60c (or 20MB) per minute for calls. It's simple, affordable, and gives you full control over your spend - with no hidden surprises.

How long does it take for my SIM to be active?
Your Kastelo SIM card is usually activated within a few minutes, but in some cases, it may take up to 24 hours. Can I check my usage, data balance, or bill online or via an app?
With our app, checking your usage and data balance is quick and easy! Stay on top of everything in real-time, directly from your phone. You will always know exactly how much data you have left, giving you complete control. If you haven't downloaded the app yet, simply get it from your app store and start managing your account effortlessly. You can also check your balance by dialling *135#.
Do I need to change my cell number?
You have the option to get a new number or keep your current number. If you choose to keep your current number, we can simply transfer it from your current network to our Kastelo network. Let us know which option you prefer.
Can I use GIGS as a second or additional SIM?
You can definitely get an additional SIM! This way, you can enjoy all the amazing benefits of our product while keeping your current number. Can I use GIGS on a dual-SIM phone?
Definitely! GIGS is perfect for dual-SIM phones. You can keep your current network on SIM 1 and run GIGS on SIM 2, giving you access to cheaper data that never expires, while still holding onto your primary number. It's also ideal if you're not ready to cancel your existing contract but want to test the GIGS difference.
Can I switch to Kastelo if I am on a contract?
Unfortunately, you will need to cancel your contract with your current service provider first before we can proceed with the porting for you. In the meantime, you can activate GIGS as an additional number.
What documents do you need to sign up for GIGS?

What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built directly into your device, meaning you don't need a physical SIM card. It works just like a traditional SIM, but it can be activated and managed remotely, giving you the flexibility to switch networks or use multiple mobile plans without needing to swap out SIM card.
How do I know if I can get an eSIM?
When activating GIGS, the app will automatically pick up whether you have a eSIM compatible device.

I have data but my mobile data is not working?
If you have data but your mobile data isn't working, it could be due to network settings, a temporary service issue, or an incorrect APN setting. First, make sure mobile data is turned on in your settings. If that's fine, try restarting your phone. For the APN settings, these are usually found under 'Mobile Network' or 'Cellular Network' in your phone's settings. If you're unsure or the issue continues, please contact us, and we'll be happy to assist you further.
Why am I not receiving SMSs?
Sorry to hear you're not receiving SMSs! There could be a few reasons for this. It might be due to network issues, your SIM card settings, or even a temporary service disruption. Can I share my data?
Absolutely! Transferring GIGS to someone else is easy.
